The grayling flies attached were tied by Pieter Kriel and were fished at the World Champs June 2007, these can be varied to suite local conditions and smallmouth yellowfish.
Olive Czech Nymph
Hook: size 14 Gamakastu C12U/B
Weight: Simans med square lead, 1 layer
Rib: fine mono
Abdomen: med olive opossum or rabbit
Heart / Hotspot: Pink SLF Ice dubbing (variations: orange or chartreuse)
Thorax: Black rabbit or opossum
Shell back: clear med scud back, black permanent marker over thorax, magenta marker over heart

Up side down hot spot nymph
Hook: size 14 scud
Bead: Optional, 2.3mm tungsten
Weight: 3-4 turns lead wire behind bead
Tail: Mallard Duck or Grizzly hackle
Thorax: tan hare's ear, touch dubbing
Abdomen: tan hare's ear, tightly dubbed
Hot spot tag: Pink SLF Ice dubbing (variations: orange or chartreuse)
Rib: small copper wire

Plumbers Tape Caddis
Hook: 14 scud
Bead: optional
Thorax: peacock herl (ice dub used here as had no peacock herl at meeting)
Abdomen: plumbers tape, twisted into a rope
Ribbing: small copper wire
