Subject: ALERT!!!YELLOWFISH
Hi
Have received reports from area ranging from Bothaville, klerksdorp and Parys area of sick infected fish and even a few cases of fish deaths though these seem low at the moment.
Symptoms seem to be sluggish movement on the surface of water to basically just drifting with current, when touched the do move away. All of above mentioned shows signs of some type of skin infection.
I have reported it to authorities, but further information is needed, so any assistance would be appreciated, like taking a detailed photo of fish, maybe taking sample of the water. Please inform me, or nature conservation or anybody concerned with this matter, please. As yet it is still uncertain if it is due to natural or man made causes. Foul smelling water has also been reported. Places this has been seen is Scandinawia drift up to Oord Nebo, Smillin’ Thru in Parys, and the Koedoesdraai/Regina area near bothaville.
